The calendar is made using thick quality paper, while the schedule organizer utilizes low-cost paper that is perfect for jotting down notes. The contrast created by these different paper textures adds to the overall design of the calendar. The 2013 goo Calendar “Month & Day” was designed by a team led by Creative Director Takuya Okamoto and Art Director Katsumi Tamura. Other team members include Designer Hiroyuki Fukazu and Copywriter Toshiyuki Nagamatsu. The calendar was launched in January 2013, showcasing the team's dedication and creativity.
This unique calendar design has received recognition in the form of the Silver A' Design Award in the Graphics, Illustration, and Visual Communication Design category in 2013.
